I first discovered my passion for photography at a young age traveling with my father, a life long commercial photographer, to unique locations around the world and then helping develop the film back in his studio. Through growing up in Taos, New Mexico, going to college in Colorado and then migrating to Jackson, Wyoming, I have spent much of my life outdoors. While skiing, snowmobiling, or mountaneering I feel at home in the mountains.
I believe you need to truly relate to your subject matter in order to capture it in the most authentic way. A production requires extensive planning, attention to detail, and the ability to work fluidly with both talent and client in a rapidly changing environment. When shooting an outdoor campaign I draw upon my own passion and experience in that environment to create genuine images that will evoke emotion in the most native audience. The best images that are technically correct but more than anything honest.
